Email Address and Mobile Number
Make sure you have a valid email address and a mobile number. You will need both of these to complete the process.
If you don’t have a valid email address, you can create one through your choice of email provider.

Identity Documents
As part of the identity checking process, you will be asked to present current and valid identity documents. For example a driver’s licence, passport etc.
Depending on which documents you have, you will need a minimum of 2 documents to a maximum of 3 documents
The combination of documents must include:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Photo ID
Starting the process
You will need to click the start now button at the bottom of this page when you are ready. Please read about the following steps before you start or refer back once you commence.

After clicking the button at the bottom of this page, you will then be taken to an ID check request commencement page. Click start and then proceed.

STEP 3
You will receive a verification code after completing step 2. Enter it on this page
Step 4
Now you are ready to proceed with the ID check by providing the information shown on the screen in front of you. It will look like this.
Don’t forget to provide a photo of yourself holding a piece of paper with the word CITED on it. This is for security reasons.
The process is easy but you will be prompted along the way.
Western Power are paying for this check so you will not have to enter any credit card details.
